The MPU-6050 Accelerometer and Gyroscope Sensor is attached to the GY-521 breakout board which puts everything together. It uses a 3.3V power source from the Arduino and has a voltage regulator. In addition to reading the accelerometer and gyroscope data, it also reads temperature data which can be useful to compare and calibrate with other temperature sensors. This sensor was easy to read data from and was almost immediately outputting data after coding. The problem here is the proper calibration of the sensor to output data that can be read and made use of. I found a sketch on a message board that finds the offset values of your specific sensor in order to zero everything out. The problem here is that it was difficult to integrate these offsets with the actual sensor to output the proper values as opposed to the calibrated values. This was not an issue because the values could be changed after the fact we received data simply by adding or subtracting the offset values from the raw values and making sense of that data.
This picture above shows how the sensor outputs data. As you can see the values are unable to be deciphered so the offset is absolutely necessary in order to make use of the data. The temperature values however were spot on, but that data is somewhat unnecessary because we needed accelerometer and gyroscope data and not temperature.
This screenshot shows how the sketch takes the values and creates offset values based on how the sensor is positioned. These values turned out to be accurate because they're close to being 0.

Future Recommendations:
I believe that this sensor is great for what it does. It was extremely responsive and seemed that the data that it was outputting was correct. From my research, it does not seem that there is a better sensor for the price and besides the long code that includes libraries within it, the sensor does what it is meant to do.
